The training is based in Competency Based Teacher Education Curriculum developed by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). Examination and Certification is done by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC). The Institution specializes in the following Teacher Education Programmes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) \u2013 duration 3 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) \u2013 duration 3 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upgrading Diploma in\u00a0 Primary Teacher Education (UDPTE) \u2013 duration 1 year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upgrading Diploma in\u00a0 Early Childhood Teacher Education (UDECTE) \u2013 duration 1 year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The college has employed qualified and highly skilled academic staff with long standing experience in training and mentoring primary and Early Childhood teachers. The college is situated in the sprawling Mikindani area of Jomvu Sub-County, Mombasa. It is a home experience away from home for all our clients. The college is professionally managed by qualified Principal who reports to a Board of Directors.
